Empowering Youth Through Connection
World Youth Day (WYD), founded by Saint John Paul II in 1985, is an international gathering of young Catholics held every few years in a different city. It brings together youth from across the world for prayer, catechesis, cultural exchange, and a profound encounter with Christ.
Through liturgies, teachings by bishops and the Holy Father, and moments of fellowship, WYD highlights the universality of the Church and inspires participants to live their faith with courage and joy. More than a single event, it is a pilgrimage of renewal that continues to shape and strengthen generations of young believers.
